This is the academic webpage of Janko Heineken. I am currently a PhD student in economics and finance at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in Barcelona. Prior to that I studied economics in Mannheim and Hong Kong.
My research fields are macroeconomics and financial economics (and their intersection: macro-finance), specifically I am interested in housing (real estate) economics and corporate finance.
An overarching theme of my research are phenomena of speculation and investor behavior that can be observed across several asset markets.
