I currently work as an Economist at the European Commission (DG COMP, none of the economic research presented on this page represents the view of the Commission or DG COMP). 

Before that, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Finance and Statistics at the University of Bonn and completed a PhD in Finance at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona.

My research interest lies in the intersection of macroeconomics and finance, specifically in understanding the role that firm financing conditions play in the real economy. In a second line of research, I analyze phenomena of speculation and investor behavior, prevalent in asset markets.
